Terri Hunter

Terri is a Regional Technology Transfer Specialist at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Technology Transfer Program (VA TTP).  She leads a team of technology transfer professionals with a mission to facilitate the commercialization of VA inventions to benefit Veterans and the American public.  Terri manages IP and commercialization for VA Medical Centers and academic partners in ten states in the upper Midwest region of the US.

Prior to joining the VA TTP, Terri served as Sr. Licensing Manager at the University of South Florida (USF) Technology Transfer Office for ten years.  Her work at USF included the negotiation of 200+ licenses, patent prosecution management, start-up assistance, SBIR/STTR drafting assistance for faculty start-ups, equity agreement negotiation, ICORPS assistance, and exit assistance for USF licensees. Before launching a career in Tech Transfer, Terri was a researcher at Moffitt Cancer Center performing pre-clinical through Phase II research in the cancer immunotherapy space.
