Scott Williams

Scott is Senior Vice President of Licensing at Adeia where he leads the semiconductor licensing program. He previously served as Vice President, Licensing and Technology Ventures at GE where he led multiple IP monetization programs covering patent and technology transfer licensing and new business creation. Prior to GE, Scott was Director, Licensing at InterDigital, a mobile technology R&D company. He also led the IP transactions and advisory services practice area at Stout, an investment banking and financial services company. Scott served as Vice President in the Strategic Business Development and Technology Commercialization business units of BTG plc a British technology investment and development company. Earlier in his career, Scott served as Director of Sales and Marketing for a start-up manufacturer of industrial computers and plant floor workstations where he was responsible for building a national distribution network and developing strategic partnerships with private label resellers and OEMs.

As a 20+ year member of LES, Scott currently serves as Immediate Past President and Chair of the Board of Directors for LES. He has been on the LES Board since 2016; was the 2015 New York Annual Meeting Chair; was previously the Chair of the Philadelphia Chapter and has served in multiple other committee roles with LES.

Scott received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and his MBA from Temple University. He is also a Certified Licensing Professional and a Certified Valuation Analyst.
