Michelle Chitambar

Dr. Michelle Chitambar is assistant director of licensing and a senior technology manager at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign’s Office of Technology Management (UIUC OTM), where she works to develop OTM licensing strategies, support UIUC entrepreneurs, and protect and license technologies in the engineering and physical sciences. From 2015 to 2018, she worked as a technology futurist, research enterprise director and senior technology transfer specialist at Southern Illinois University. Her previous experience includes four years spanning the technical and business teams at an energy storage controls start-up, an MS in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan, and a PhD in applied physics from the same institution, where her research focused on charge transfer at semiconductor heterojunctions. Michelle is a registered patent agent.
