Jonathan Kern

Jon Kern, Ph.D. is the Vice President, Global Alliances at AbbVie, responsible for leading AbbVie’s Global Alliances Team providing strategic business support for AbbVie’s 150+ R&D and Commercial partnerships.  Jon joined AbbVie in 2014 following leadership roles in R&D and Business Development at Merck, Sharpe, & Dohme. Prior to joining Merck, he was a National Institutes of Health postdoctoral fellow in Neuroscience and Pharmacology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Jon completed his PhD in Biochemistry at The University of Texas at Austin following undergraduate work in Chemistry and Biochemistry at Augustana College.
