Arjan Quist

Arjan Quist is the Executive Director of Innovation Management at Northwestern University’s Innovation and New Ventures Office.  He leads a team of technology transfer professionals with a mission of bringing Northwestern University research to the marketplace through commercialization by licensing inventions to University spin-out companies or other corporate entities. Arjan oversees licensing negotiations around Northwestern owned IP, frequently participates in classes around commercialization and IP, and advises Northwestern’s sponsored research office on industry contracts.

Prior to joining Northwestern, Arjan was the Director of Nanotechnology at Richmond Chemical, a chemical and biosciences company, and a Research Scientist in Biophysics at the Neuroscience Research Institute at UC Santa Barbara, and in Materials and Surface Science at the Materials Science Department and Center for Surface Biotechnology at Uppsala University (Sweden). He received his PhD from Uppsala University, Sweden, and a MSc from the Vrije University in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
